- 1. Basic Mold

Usually used if you need a small quantity with few if any repeat orders. This mold consists of epoxy cavities mounted on a wooden vacuum box

2. More Common Mold

The epoxy cavities are mounted on an aluminum plate, which in turn gets mounted on a chiller plate. The cycle time is faster, and thus a lower piece cost.

3. All Aluminum Mold
-
This option is for large quantity runs with the probability of repeat orders. The cycle time is much faster that option 2 and thus a lower piece cost. The mold is made by an outside source. We Do Not Mark Up The Mold Cost! This cost can be around 3-4 times as much as option 2, but the piece cost will more that offset the tooling cost. This is especially true with repeat orders.
